BIOGRAPHY

Founded in 2006. Based in Santiago, Chile. The Centro de Documentación de las Artes of the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda aims to expand the possibilities of its archive and its usem, as well as the academic, political and poetic possibilities it presents.

The participation of the "Archivo Abierto" – Centro de Documentación de las Artes, Centro Cultural Palacio la Moneda at the 28th Bienal de São Paulo contemplates the sending of a collection of Chilean videos from the 1970s and ’80s that discuss the material condition of the videotape as a format of circulation, resistance, meeting and exposure. More than authorial works, it selects spaces of critical thought.
